Ohio State took down Indiana in one of the biggest games of the week, but how did that impact each team's spot in ESPN's Football Power Index?
Remember, the FPI is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 20,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date and the remaining schedule.
Similar to our Big Ten Power Rankings, OSU remains No. 1 while Indiana sits at No. 2.
Neither team is in danger in missing out on the College Football Playoffs, nor should they be.
No team in the Big Ten rose more than five spots in the updated FPI rankings, but Maryland was the biggest faller as they're now dead last after a seven-point loss to Rutgers dropped them eight spots nationally.
