Anthony Smith has been named to the preseason watch lists for the Lombardi Award and the Wuerffel Trophy. The Lombardi honor focuses on standout linemen and linebackers, while the Wuerffel Trophy recognizes community service alongside academic and athletic achievement.

Smith made 38 tackles in 2025, including 17.5 tackles for loss and a Big Ten-leading 12.5 sacks, on his way to first-team All-Big Ten recognition. Minnesota also highlighted his work with youth groups and several community organizations.
