Things aren't going well for Texas A&M football,
The Aggies (3-3, 1-3 SEC) dropped the third of their last four games after losing to Missouri 27-6 on Saturday, Oct. 10. The offense sputtered once again, with quarterback Marcel Reed failing to eclipse the 200-yard passing mark for the third consecutive game.

Third-year coach Mike Elko called out the Texas A&M fan base after the game, but more specifically, the "cesspool' of popular Aggies fan website TexAgs, which like many high-profile programs across the country includes fan message boards.
"There is a difference between the fan base and social media," Elko said after the game. "There's one group that I really don't care much about. (TexAgs editor and co-owner Billy Liucci's) cesspool can go be Billy's cesspool. Our fan base, be with us. Stay behind us.
"We are going to build something we told you we were going to build. We are in a really bad spot right now, but we are going to work our way out of it."
Shoutout @CarterKarels for asking Mike Elko what the message to Texas A&M fans after another bad loss:
"There's a difference to me between the fan base and social media.

Liucci issued a response to Elko's comments on X, formerly Twitter.
"Going to show restraint here (for now) and get back to answering questions, but the head coach losing 27-6 then immediately calling out an incredibly large portion of the loyal but also understandably frustrated fan base was a wildly unnecessary misstep," he wrote.
Texas A&M's offense has struggled in 2026 without offensive coordinator Collin Klein, who was hired as Kansas State's head coach in the offseason. Reed's completion percentage for the season dipped below 50% against Missouri, and he has yet to throw a touchdown pass in nearly a month since he threw for one score against Kentucky on Sept. 19.
The Aggies entered the season ranked No. 8 in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll after reaching the College Football Playoff in 2025.
Texas A&M still has remaining conference games against Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Texas this season, putting the Aggies in jeopardy of missing a bowl game. Based on Elko's comments, he's clearly unhappy with how things are currently going.
