NORMAN — It was a busy initial availability report for Oklahoma on Wednesday ahead of its matchup with Texas this weekend.

Sooners offensive lineman Michael Fasusi was listed as doubtful to play against the Longhorns. The latest news on Fasusi comes after OU coach Brent Venables gave what was thought to be a positive update following the Sooners' loss to Georgia.

"All the most recent scans… He's made some improvement from where he was," Venables said.

Amid constant struggles along the offensive line, OU (2-2) misses Fasusi — perhaps its best offensive player. The second-year Sooner played in 11 games and made 10 starts last season as a true freshman, allowing four sacks on 395 pass-blocking snaps, per Pro Football Focus.

Fasusi appeared to reinjure his shoulder in the Sooners' season-opening win over UTEP after he dealt with an injury during training camp.

Offensive linemen Eddy Pierre-Louis and Fred Hinton also appeared on Wednesday's report. Pierre-Louis is questionable and Hinton is doubtful.

OU linebacker Owen Heinecke probable to play vs Texas

OU linebacker Owen Heinecke is probable to play against Texas after he suffered a hamstring strain against the Bulldogs.

Heinecke leads the Sooners with 28 tackles.
