No. 14 Missouri Tigers football welcomes the struggling Texas A&M Aggies (3-2) to Memorial Stadium for their first morning kickoff of the season.
Mike Elko’s Aggies have become a familiar opponent in the past few seasons and have left no doubt in the past three meetings. A&M holds a 73-point differential across its three-game win streak dating back to 2021.
The last time Mizzou bested the Aggies was in 2014 at Kyle Field, led by Maty Mauk and Russell Hansbrough. The last win against them on home turf was in 2013 to clinch the SEC East.
The 2026 rendition brings a new fold to the two teams’ history, with the Tigers as the favorite.
Marcel Reed still leads the A&M offense, but he’s struggled to leap into Heisman contention, currently holding a 6-to-4 TD-to-INT ratio. He’ll look to have a resurgence against a team that he previously threw for 221 yards and two touchdowns in a blowout win.
We’ll have the most notable updates from the game here in this article as Mizzou looks to move to 2-1 in conference play. For all of our live updates, check our forums over at RockM+.
Pregame
- Mizzou won the toss and deferred to the second half. A&M will start with the ball as the Tigers defend the North end zone.
First Quarter
- Here we go. Brunno Reus boots it out of the end zone for a touchback as Marcel Reed prepares to lead the Aggie offense.
- The Tigers force a punt on their first defensive possession of the game. Austin Simmons and the offense will start from the 9-yard line.
- Simmons gets picked off for the first time this season. TJ Searcy got his mitts on the ball at the line of scrimmage, and Daymion Sanford came up with the interception. A&M has the ball on Mizzou’s 14-yard line.
- The Death Row Defense gives the Aggies a taste of their own medicine. Trajen Greco tips a pass from Reed in the end zone into the hands of Elijah Dotson, his first interception of the season. The Tigers will have the ball on their 20-yard line.
- Mizzou’s offense can’t do anything after the takeaway. No plays for positive yardage, a false start penalty and a shanked punt by Reus set the Aggies up with a drive starting on the Tigers’ half of the field.
- David Olano’s kick from 53 yards out is good for A&M. Mizzou trails 3-0 with 4:46 to go.
- The Tigers have only rushed the ball three times for two yards so far. The pass game isn’t faring any better with the Aggies in blanket coverage.
- Santana Banner and Robert Woodyard Jr. come up with a big stop on 3rd&1 to force a punt. DaMarion Fowlkes bobbled the catch but corralled it before an A&M defender could get a hand in.
- Mizzou makes it to midfield to end the quarter, still trailing 3-0. Both teams have less than 60 total yards of offense.
Second Quarter
- The Tigers find the end zone first. Simmons identifies the blitz and immediately gets the ball out to Cayden Lee in the slot with 32 yards of open space. Mizzou goes up 7-3.
