The LSU Tigers were left licking their wounds after they fell to the Ole Miss Rebels, but Lane Kiffin was hell-bent on ensuring they didn’t face back-to-back defeats as the Tigers dusted themselves off and picked up a 35-6 win to get back in the win column.

In the aftermath, the LSU coach’s daughter, Landry, joined in on the postgame celebrations by taking a pointed shot at the Aggies.

LSU put together one of its strongest performances of the season at Tiger Stadium, beating Texas A&M 35-6. The Tigers’ defense kept the Aggies out of the end zone, allowing just two field goals.

LSU went into halftime with a 14-3 lead before Kiffin took a big gamble on fourth-and-one from his own 43-yard line in the third quarter. Leavitt sold the run fake and found Jackson Harris wide open for a 57-yard touchdown. The huge play made it 21-3 and gave LSU complete control of the game.

After the impressive win, Lane Kiffin called it a “really good rebound” and a form of “payback” for the fans in Baton Rouge.

Landry also got in on the celebration. She took to social media with a short six-word message aimed at the Aggies: “Bad day to be an Aggie.”

The post came just one week after a difficult night for the Kiffin family in Oxford.

Landry Kiffin Endured a Difficult Week in Oxford

When No. 7 LSU traveled to face No. 8 Ole Miss at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, it marked Lane Kiffin’s first return to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium since leaving the Rebels program to take the head coaching job at LSU.

Ole Miss surged out of the gate, with Trinidad Chambliss leading the Rebels to a commanding 24-7 halftime lead. LSU fought back in the second half, scoring 17 unanswered points to tie the game at 24-24 in the fourth quarter.

However, Ole Miss responded with a late 75-yard touchdown drive to win 32-24 and hand Kiffin his first loss as LSU’s head coach.

What made the week so difficult for Landry, though, was the harassment she faced on her own college campus. Despite her father leaving Ole Miss for LSU, Landry remained enrolled at Ole Miss in Oxford. Her unique position, an Ole Miss student whose father coaches LSU and whose boyfriend plays for LSU, placed her in an impossibly awkward spotlight.

Leading up to game day, several fraternity houses and off-campus student residences around Oxford hung giant banners containing explicit, vulgar, and sexually derogatory jokes targeted directly at Landry and an unnamed player she had never even met.

Following the loss, Landry shared an Instagram carousel with the seven-word caption, “Well, at least the outfit was good.”

LSU then responded with a statement win over Texas A&M. And after everything that happened the previous week, Landry appeared to enjoy the opportunity to celebrate.
