The SEC announced Monday that Tennessee’s visit to Kyle Field to play Texas A&M on Saturday, Nov. 14 will be played between 2-3:15 p.m. on either ESPN or SEC Network. The official game time and TV channel will be determined following Nov. 7’s action.

This game is the “Operation Blackout” game, where the Aggies will wear special black jerseys. This will be the third straight season (since Elko was hired) to invoke “Operation Blackout,” doing so against Mississippi State in 2025 and LSU in 2024.

November 14th’s matchup will mark just the sixth all-time meeting between Tennessee and A&M. College GameDay visited College Station the only other time the Volunteers were in town on October 8, 2016. In a top-10 matchup, the Maroon and White came away with a thrilling 45-38 win in double overtime 10 years ago.

It’s been three years since a game was played between the Vols and Aggies as they squared off in Knoxville on Oct. 14, 2023. Tennessee gave A&M its eighth straight road loss that day in a 20-13 defeat, and eventually led to the end of the Jimbo Fisher era. The Volunteers lead the overall series 3-2, with victories in the 1957 Gator Bowl, 2005 Cotton Bowl and the 2023 win at Neyland Stadium.

The Aggies (4-4, 1-4 SEC) return to action this week and will travel to Columbia, S.C., to take on the No. 23 South Carolina Gamecocks (5-3, 3-3) at 2 p.m. on ESPN. Tennessee (6-2, 3-2) will follow the A&M game on ESPN by hosting rival No. 8 Kentucky (7-1, 5-1) in Knoxville at 5:15 p.m. CT.
