In what will be the Florida Gators biggest test of the season, they're set to square off with No. 1 Texas on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Knowing this game is in Austin, it only makes it that much more challenging.
Arch Manning may not exactly be running away with the Heisman Trophy, but that doesn't mean he isn't a great quarterback.
The Longhorns are 4-0 (1-0) for a reason, and while each team has Week 6 to worry about before this projected Top-25 matchup, it's still something that has been on Florida's mind for quite some time.
Facing Texas in Week 7 is challenging enough, but then after a bye, the Gators have No. 2 Georgia to deal with for a neutral-site showdown in Week 9.
For what it's worth, it's already been revealed that Florida vs. Georgia is a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC.
Officially, we now know the kickoff time for Florida vs. Texas, though the network is still up in the air.
Gators vs. Longhorns will be on ESPN or ABC
The SEC announced that final TV designations will be made after Week 6, so it will then be determined which of the two networks this game will air on.
Either way, it's a nationally televised game in what could give head coach Jon Sumrall his career defining win, or it could be another embarrassing beatdown like what just happened at No. 25 Missouri.
Noon kickoff
No matter what network it airs on, Florida vs. Texas will kickoff at 12:00 p.m. ET from Darrell K Royal Stadium.
Texas heads to the Cotton Bowl in Week 6 for a neutral site matchup against a 2-2 (0-1) Oklahoma team, one that just got crushed by Georgia.
This conference may be home to some of the best teams in the country, but Florida has a much easier Week 6 matchup, on paper, as they host a 2-3 South Carolina team that is 0-3 in SEC play and has lost three straight games.
Keep in mind, the Gamecocks just blew a lead against No. 24 Kentucky, and ended up losing because of a two-point conversion in overtime.
Florida can't look past South Carolina
It's easy to get caught up in just how big the games against Texas and Georgia are going to be, but if the Wildcats struggled against the Gamecocks, what does that mean for a vulnerable Florida team?
After such a strong start to the year, Florida needs to prove that its Week 5 loss was a fluke, and this is the perfect opportunity to regain momentum before heading to Austin.
