Tennessee will host Auburn in Week 5 of the 2026 football season.

Kickoff between the Vols and Tigers is slated for 3:23 p.m. EDT on Oct. 3 at Neyland Stadium. The contest will be televised by ABC or ESPN.

Week 5 will mark the 44th meeting between the two schools in the all-time series, dating to 1900. Tennessee has a 22-29-3 record against Auburn. The Vols are 14-10-2 in games contested in Knoxville.

Tennessee last played Auburn on Nov. 21, 2020, with the Tigers earning a, 30-17, victory at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama.

The 2026 game will mark a return for former Tennessee offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Alex Golesh. He is in his first season as Auburn's head coach.

Golesh was with the Vols from 2021-22 before serving as head coach at USF from 2023-25. He compiled a head coaching record of 23-15 (14-10 AAC).
