Three-star linebacker RJ Hudson has decommitted from the Clemson Tigers, according to Paul Strelow of Tigers Illustrated.

Hudson committed to the Tigers on June 19, announcing his commitment a week after he took an official visit. He also officially visited the Maryland Terrapins before committing, but a different program appears to be making a push for the Richmond, Virginia product.

According to Strelow, Hudson has scheduled an official visit with the Texas Longhorns for later this month. Texas offered him a scholarship back in September and does not currently have any linebackers committed.

Hudson is ranked as the No. 509 overall player and No. 42 linebacker in the Rivals industry ranking. He is also the No. 15 player from Virginia. He is Clemson's second decommitment of the 2027 recruiting cycle, joining four-star safety Seth Williams.

Clemson still holds commitments from four-star linebacker Bryce Kish and three-star linebacker Max Brown. They have 24 commits overall, with the group now ranked as the 16th-best recruiting class in the country and 2nd-best in the ACC by Rivals.
