In dramatic fashion, the Gophers came up just short on Saturday in their bid to shock the college football world with an upset win over No. 4 Indiana. A go-ahead 60-yard field goal with 20 seconds left wasn’t enough, as the Hoosiers responded with their own 60-yarder as time expired and then survived in overtime at Memorial Stadium.

Minnesota (5-3, 3-2 Big Ten) will get another opportunity to pull off a stunner next week. The Gophers are hosting one of the three remaining undefeated teams in all of the FBS, the UCLA Bruins (8-0, 5-0). The game is now set for an 11 a.m. kickoff at Huntington Bank Stadium, with TV coverage on FOX.

FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff (which has already made a stop in Minneapolis this year) is headed to West Point, NY next week for Army vs. Air Force. Minnesota vs. UCLA will be a notable game in next Saturday’s 11 a.m. window, which is highlighted by a huge BYU-Utah matchup and Texas facing Missouri.

UCLA is having an incredible season so far in year one under former James Madison coach Bob Chesney. The Bruins beat Nevada 27-0 on Saturday in a midseason nonconference matchup. They’ve also beaten Cal, San Diego State, Purdue, Maryland, Oregon, Wisconsin, and Michigan State. Not exactly a murderer’s row of opponents, but they’ve beaten everyone on their schedule, including a huge win at Oregon. UCLA has beaten every team except the Ducks by double-digits.

The Bruins have done it with multiple quarterbacks. Nico Iamaleava was their starter at the beginning of the season, but he suffered a season-ending injury against Oregon. Ty Dieffenbach has stepped in and kept the ship afloat. Running backs Wayne Knight and Anthony Woods have combined for nearly 1,200 yards and 18 rushing touchdowns. The Bruins lead the Big Ten in rushing and have also been stout defensively.

Miami, Utah, and UCLA are the last remaining FBS unbeatens.

UCLA has opened as 6.5-point favorites over the Gophers, a much smaller spread than the 20 points Minnesota nearly overcame on Saturday in Indiana. If the Gophers can get some better play from Drake Lindsey, they could have a chance for a signature win next weekend at home.

Gophers’ remaining schedule
