Texas A&M enters Week 10 after the bye with more questions than answers and will now face South Carolina on the road for the first time since 2024, coming off last season's memorable 31-30 comeback win over the Gamecocks after trailing 30-3 at the half.

On Monday, third-year coach Mike Elko reiterated that senior quarterback Marcel Reed will continue as the starter until further notice, while star freshman running back KJ Edwards, who has served as one of the program's lone bright spots, revealed during Tuesday's player press conference that he is healthy after suffering a leg contusion during the Aggies' Week 8 loss vs. Alabama.

After facing South Carolina at home, Tennessee on the road, Oklahoma at home, and Texas on the road, these are Texas A&M's final chances to win at least six games and reach bowl game eligibility. On paper, I don't see the Aggies beating South Carolina or Oklahoma on the road, so Tennessee and Texas are their final chances to finish 6-6.

While many, including me, believe Texas A&M could easily finish 4-8, ESPN's Kyle Bonagura still sees the Aggies making a bowl game, predicting Mike Elko's team to face Arkansas State in the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl on Saturday, January 2.

Would this excite the fan base? Not one bit, but it would extend the season and provide some momentum heading into one of the most important offseasons in program history.
