For the first time in 17 years, ESPN is bringing “College GameDay” to Provo.
ESPN’s popular college football pregame show has announced it will be broadcasting live from BYU this coming weekend for the Cougars’ clash with Notre Dame.
Cougar fans, it’s been awhile 💭

The specific broadcast location on campus will be announced at a later time.
It will be BYU’s second time hosting “GameDay,” as the show previously came to Provo in 2009 for a Mountain West Conference matchup between the Cougars and TCU.
But the stakes will be even higher this time around. Notre Dame and BYU each currently rank No. 3 and No. 8, respectively, in the AP top 25 poll, setting up arguably the most monumental contest in the history of LaVell Edwards Stadium.

BYU has also been part of “GameDay” broadcasts as the road team on three other occasions, most recently last season at Texas Tech. The Cougars are 0-4 in “GameDay” appearances, now looking to end such a skid Saturday against the Irish.
The “College GameDay” cast of analysts includes host Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban and Pat McAfee. Herbstreit and Howard were previously part of the 2009 “GameDay” show in Provo.
The “GameDay” broadcast will begin at 7 a.m. MDT, with the game kicking off at 5:30 p.m.
