End Of My College Football Week Nine Schedule Rant
Week Nine offers plenty of opportunities for ranked teams to make a statement as the College Football Playoff race continues to take shape. The matchups between Florida and Georgia, Ohio State and USC, and Miami and North Carolina should draw plenty of attention.
With November approaching, another weekend of meaningful results could significantly change the national picture. Interestingly, it is also becoming increasingly likely that a three-loss team could sneak into the College Football Playoff. There has been no shortage of fierce competition this season, and even some of the nation’s top-ranked teams have struggled to separate themselves from the pack.
That could make the final weeks of the regular season especially interesting. With so many teams still fighting for position, the margin for error is becoming smaller. A single upset could completely change the playoff picture, opening the door for an unexpected contender to make a late-season push. Ultimately, the committee will have some difficult decisions to make when determining which teams deserve a spot among the best in college football.
