The Texas Longhorns dropped its first game of the season in upset fashion to the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday. Once again, Sarkisian's offense stalled in the most crucial moments of the game, and it cost the Longhorns their No. 1 ranking.

With a 17-7 halftime lead, the Longhorns were in control of the game. However, in the second, the offense was held to seven points. Up until the fourth quarter, Arch Manning had played a good game by not putting the ball in harm's way. Then came the beginning of the end.

In the fourth quarter, Manning threw two interceptions which led to point for the Sooners. His first interception was pick six, which gave Oklahoma the 24-17 edge, their first lead of the game. Manning's second pick came with 24 seconds left. Texas was in position to go down the field and set up the walk-off field goal.

Manning threw another pick with 19 seconds left, and Oklahoma set up their march for the walk-off field goal and upset Texas.

Once again, we are talking about how this Texas offense is struggling and can't get over the hump. In the big moments of a game, they shut down and disappear.

"You know for us, there is obviously a level of disappointment. There's a level of anger and frustration because we know we have issues that need to be fixed, and we're working on those issues and trying to get them fixed. But they reared their ugly head today against a quality team," Sarkisian said after the loss.

Texas had everyone believe they were for real after their impressive comeback over Ohio State where they erased a 20-point deficit in the fourth quarter and jumped to the No. 1 spot in the rankings.

The Longhorns' ranking did not plummet tremendously after Saturday's loss, and their playoff hopes are still alive. With a tough schedule ahead, if they win out, they will have a strong resume for the committee to consider.

Texas faces off against Florida at home on Saturday, October 17 (12 p.m. ET).
