Texas A&M football can't seem to catch a break, and the latest injury news only adds to the growing frustration surrounding Mike Elko's struggling program.
Texas A&M offensive lineman Blake Ivy will miss the remainder of the 2026 college football season, Elko confirmed following Saturday's embarrassing 27-6 loss to No. 14 Missouri.

Ivy reportedly suffered the season-ending injury during practice last week, dealing another significant setback to an offensive line that hasn't consistently protected quarterback Marcel Reed or established a dependable rushing attack.
The injury couldn't have come at a worse time.
The Aggies have dropped to 3-3 overall and 1-3 in Southeastern Conference play, with an offense that's quickly becoming one of the program's biggest liabilities.
Ivy appeared in all five games before the Missouri matchup, starting the first three contests before transitioning into a rotational role.
According to Pro Football Focus, Ivy logged 209 offensive snaps, earning a 65.4 overall offensive grade, including a 71.9 run-blocking grade and a 56.5 pass-blocking grade.
Those numbers weren't spectacular, but his experience and versatility provided valuable depth for a unit already searching for answers.
And Saturday's performance against Missouri demonstrated just how serious those problems have become.
The Aggies managed a miserable 146 yards of total offense against the Tigers, including just 20 rushing yards. Reed completed 16 of 32 passes for 126 yards, while Texas A&M failed to score a touchdown.
Kicker David Olano accounted for all six Aggie points with field goals of 53 and 27 yards.
It was another frustrating afternoon for an offense that entered the season with considerably higher expectations.
Elko and his coaching staff have repeatedly shuffled personnel along the offensive front, hoping to find a combination capable of creating running lanes and giving Reed sufficient time to operate.
Lamont Rogers has emerged as one of the few encouraging developments since moving into the starting right tackle role, but the overall results remain disappointing.
Now, without Ivy available as a rotational option, the coaching staff has even less flexibility.
And the schedule isn't getting any easier.
Texas A&M returns to Kyle Field on October 17 to face The Citadel before a challenging SEC road trip to Alabama.
The Aggies desperately need to establish some offensive consistency before facing the Crimson Tide's defensive front.
For Elko, there's no longer much room for excuses.
Injuries are certainly part of the equation, but the inability to generate sustained offensive production has become a recurring problem.
Losing Blake Ivy makes the challenge more difficult. Finding a way to fix this offense has become absolutely essential.
Following the Missouri loss, Elko acknowledged the program's difficult situation.

“We are in a really bad spot right now, but we are going to work our way out of it,” Elko said.
That turnaround will have to happen without Ivy, leaving Texas A&M with another obstacle in a season rapidly slipping away.
