Texas A&M sits at 3-2 and 1-2 in SEC play, set to face No. 14 Missouri in Columbia for the second straight season after defeating the Tigers 38-17 last season. However, Missouri looked dominant in last Saturday's 45-17 home win over Florida, while the Aggies took care of Arkansas, winning 34-7 in Kyle Field to end their two-game losing streak.
Although he wasn't listed on last week's injury report, sophomore running back Jamarion Morrow did not play vs. Arkansas, while star wide receiver Mario Craver, who left Saturday's game with a lower-body injury, was listed as questionable on Wednesday's first injury report. Morrow was not listed, and freshman linebacker Tamarion Watkins also didn't play vs. Arkansas.
Morrow reportedly could have played against the Razorbacks, but coach Mike Elko smartly waited for the former Missouri commit to be 100% healthy, which should mean Morrow returns to the field on Saturday. Tamarion Watkins, who was recently ranked as the highest-rated freshman linebacker, has provided exceptional depth, recording nine tackles in four games.
Five Missouri players are listed as out for Saturday's game, while seven are listed as questionable with a 50% chance to play, including star tackle Cayden Green. For the Aggies to pull off the upset, A&M's secondary will need an elite effort to keep Missouri QB Austin Simmons from throwing explosive plays, and the Aggie run game will need to average at least five yards per carry to set up play-action opportunities for QB Marcel Reed.
