A blockbuster exhibition matchup will take place in Durham this week as No. 2 Duke hosts No. 8 Tennessee.
Though it's early days, Duke is already shaping up to be a championship-level team. The Blue Devils started out on a positive note, routing Belmont 102-62 at home last week, but Tennessee will be the squad's first real test. Jon Scheyer's side is undeniably dominant, but can they live up to the hype?
No. 8 Tennessee started out their 2026-27 campaign with an unexpected exhibition loss to Xavier, 86-70. Head coach Rick Barnes is not concerned about the defeat though, welcoming the challenge ahead of regular season play. The Vols will be without some talent against Duke, as Tyler Lundblade and Jalen Washington are both expected to sit out.
