Week 5 was a chaotic slate in the SEC in general, especially at the quarterback position. While several quarterbacks are emerging in the Heisman Trophy race, others are dealing with injuries, and some teams have made changes at the position.
This past week we also had a matchup of two of my top three quarterbacks from a week ago, and this upcoming week we get a matchup of arguably the top two teams in the SEC.
As we move closer to the mid-way point of the regular season, there continues to be movement in our quarterback power rankings, which we have now narrowed down to a Top 10.
10. LaNorris Sellers, South Carolina Gamecocks

- Previous Ranking: No. 11
It was another frustrating loss for South Carolina as they blew a 17-0 first half lead in a 35-34 overtime home loss to Kentucky, but the loss was far from Sellers' fault. Sellers went 20-of-36 for 226 passing yards, 147 rushing yards, and two touchdowns. For the season, Sellers has a 60.5% completion percentage, 1,059 passing yards, 391 rushing yards, eight passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown, and four interceptions.

7. Aaron Philo, Florida Gators

- Previous Ranking: No. 6
For the first time this season, Florida did not have a big day on the ground and their offense struggled because of it. Aaron Philo was tasked with doing more than he has all season, and struggled at times with the added responsibility. He finished the game 21-of-34 through the air for 197 yards and one touchdown as Florida was blown out by Missouri, 45-17. For the season, Philo has a 69.4% completion percentage, 1,114 passing yards, 72 rushing yards, eight passing touchdowns, three rushing touchdowns, and two interceptions.
6. Arch Manning, Texas Longhorns

5. Austin Simmons, Missouri Tigers

- Previous Ranking: No. 7
Austin Simmons continues to be one of the must underrated quarterbacks in the country. Simmons shined against Florida as he went 23-of-30 through the air for 340 yards and two touchdowns as Missouri blew out the Gators, 45-17. For the season, Simmons has a 67.9% completion percentage, 1,287 passing yards, 13 passing touchdowns, and has yet to throw an interception.

Gunner Stockton had arguably his best performance of the season Saturday as Georgia pulled away in the second half to beat Vanderbilt, 38-14. For the season, Stockton has a league-leading 75.5% completion percentage, 1,049 passing yards, 122 rushing yards, 13 passing touchdowns, and one interception. He still has yet to have to finish out a game with Georgia winning all five games by at least 24 points so far.
3. Kamario Taylor, Mississippi State Bulldogs

- Previous Ranking: No. 2
It was a frustrating performance for a less-than-100-percent Taylor against a swarming Alabama defense in a 56-23 blowout defeat. Taylor finished 19-of-34 passing for 258 yards, three touchdowns, two interceptions, and a fumble. Taylor left the game following the third quarter and was later seen in a walking boot. 2. Keelon Russell, Alabama Crimson Tide

If he was not before, Keelon Russell is now right in the middle of the Heisman conversation after a big performance in Alabama's dominant 56-23 win over Mississippi State in a hostile environment on the road. Russell finished 16-of-22 passing for 285 passing yards, 29 non-sack rushing yards, and four total touchdowns (three passing, one rushing).
