Despite winning the American Conference Championship and making an appearance in the College Football Playoff in 2025, the Tulane Green Wave has not received much hype heading into the season.The Preseason AP Top 25 Poll was released on Monday, with Tulane only earning a single vote. While there was no expectation that the team would be ranked high after undergoing a head coaching change and major roster adjustments in the offseason, it is a bit surprising that the team didn't garner at least a little bit more attention.However, should the Green Wave put much stock into this? Meanwhile, note that Florida, Oklahoma State and Auburn have all received multiple votes after bringing in strong coaches from the American in the offseason. While the Olive Green and Sky Blue will probably experience some growing pains that come with having a new head coach and several new positions players -- including an undetermined starting quarterback -- it looks like it has been far too easy to forget the success the program has had over the past few years with a variety of different players and coaches. If anything, this is some extra motivation for the Green Wave ahead of the season. They'll look to use it in a big way as they open the season against the Duke Blue Devils on September 5th.
