In a world where everyone continues to argue that the SEC is better than the Big Ten and vice versa, week seven in college football went all the way against that.
With Ohio State on a bye week, the Big Ten conference had a horrible day for itself.
The Buckeyes obviously carry a lot of the weight on a weekly basis because they are so good, but their presence was certainly missed on Saturday.
The day got started with an absolute pillow fight in Ann Arbor between Indiana and Michigan. The Hoosiers were about six inches and two missed field goals away from beating the Buckeyes last week, and they were trying to fend off a two-game losing streak.
The Wolverines rolled out a new starting quarterback who may not be all that much better than Bryce Underwood, whom he replaced. The details are not important. What is important was a 6-6 tie at the end of regulation. A full 60 minutes of football that yielded exactly zero touchdowns. Indiana escaped with a 13-6 victory to get the day started.
Then it was off to Minnesota for the Golden Gophers and the second-best win on Ohio State's schedule: the No. 13 Iowa Hawkeyes. Iowa looked like old Iowa, and the Gophers were able to complete the upset with a 13-10 win.

Ohio State Bye Week: How Are the Buckeyes Going to Approach Life After Julian SayinWe are back on the Buckeye Breakdown Podcast on Ohio State's bye week. No action for the Buckeyes on Saturday, but it was the biggest week of their season as...
The disappointment of the day was what went down in Champaign, Illinois. The Illini hosted the Oregon Ducks who are trying to figure anything out for this season. What they discovered is that they have no offense at all, and the Illini got them on the back of several big plays.
Last, but certainly not least, the USC Trojans went to Madison, Wisconsin, and discovered that Madison in late October is no joke. The Badgers, who have been a program on life support for the last couple of seasons, got one of the biggest wins in the Luke Fickell era. The Badgers took it to the Trojans by a final score of 24-7.
All in all, it was a bizarre day inside the Big Ten, and it makes you wonder if there are any legitimate teams in the conference. The two teams that are playing the best football right now are the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Northwestern Wildcats, who beat Rutgers 42-14 today.
It was an overall weird week in the Big Ten and an overall negative week for the conference. The big dogs in the conference showed that they might not be so big, and the difference from the top to the bottom is not that much.
The Big Ten needs the Buckeyes to get back from the bye week as soon as possible.
