Texas A&M (4-4, 1-4 SEC) returns to the field after its Week 9 bye to take on No. 21 South Carolina (5-3, 3-3 SEC) in Columbia, where the Aggies haven't won since 2020. In 2025, Texas A&M stormed back to defeat the Gamecocks 31-30 after trailing 30-3 at halftime, a comeback that nearly cost coach Shane Beamer his job.

However, after making the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history, both programs are on different trajectories this season, as the Aggies are hoping to at least make a bowl game at 4-4, while the Gamecocks have reeled off three straight wins over Florida, Tennessee, and last Saturday's 45-25 road win over Oklahoma.

South Carolina is by far one of the hottest teams in the SEC, while the Aggies are now playing "spoiler" for the rest of the season, hoping to pull off an unexpected victory after falling to Alabama 31-20 in Week 8, which could have gone the other way if starting quarterback Marcel Reed and the offense didn't fall apart in the fourth quarter after holding a 20-17 lead.

It's tough to predict anything but a potential blowout for the home team unless Texas A&M's defense figures out a way to contain South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers and force him into mistakes, while Marcel Reed, who will make his 9th start this season despite his poor play, must repeat his first-half passing performance against Alabama for the entire game.
