No. 13 Tennessee fell 1-0 at Auburn on Thursday, moving to 6-2-3 overall and 1-2-2 in SEC play. Auburn scored the match's only goal in the 25th minute and carried that advantage through the second half.
Tennessee finished with four shots but did not put an attempt on target. Goalkeeper Cayden Norris made two saves, including a second-half stop that redirected the ball onto the crossbar.
The Lady Vols now have an eight-day break before another road test at No. 11 South Carolina on October 9.
