TCU enters 2026 with a different kind of expectation. The Horned Frogs are coming off the first NCAA College Cup appearance in program history and their fourth Big 12 regular-season title in six years. The next schedule gives them little time to settle in.
The season starts at Wisconsin on August 13 before the home opener against UTSA three days later. Trips to Alabama and Texas A&M are paired with Fort Worth dates against Georgia and Texas, creating a nonconference run built almost entirely around teams that already know the NCAA Tournament stage.
The September 6 meeting with Texas is the natural early marker. From there, TCU moves into a Big 12 calendar that includes three straight league road matches before the first conference home game. For a program carrying new national credibility, the opening month is less a victory lap than a fresh examination.
