It’s been 12 years since Arizona started a season with a 5-1 record, and that year the Wildcats kept the good times going all the way to the Pac-12 title game and the Fiesta Bowl. Can they repeat history this fall and reach the Big 12 championship and beyond?
We asked our readers how Arizona would do during the second half of the season, which begins Saturday against Iowa State. The Wildcats (5-1, 2-1 Big 12) also have games remaining against unbeatens Texas Tech and Utah, the former coming up on Oct. 31 in Lubbock.
The results are in, and Wildcat Nation is expecting good things for the remainder of the regular season:

Arizona entered this season with a projected win total of 7.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, but that number has jumped to 8.5 and it’s even money (+100) to get over that number. If that happens it would be the first time the UA won nine or more games in consecutive seasons since the 1970s.
Texas Tech (+230), BYU (+240) and Utah (+270) are the co-frontrunners to win the Big 12, per FanDuel, with Arizona having the 6th-best odds at +1700. As for winning the national championship, the UA is at +30000 if you’re feeling frisky. Or you could hope for a late push in the Noah Fifita Heisman campaign, as he sits at +22500 which is tied for 18th-best odds.
