Happy Sunday Husky fans. After another tough outing for our Huskies the team will return home this weekend looking to rebound against a tough Iowa team. There will likely be handful of visitors on campus but with the game being Friday I would bet the recruits in attendance will be a little light.
4 star QB commit Blake Roskopf from Desert Edge HS, AZ got an invitation to the Navy All-American bowl, which is a pretty prestigious honor as most recruiting junkies know. Roskopf, who should have a chance to battle for playing time next year, has thrown for 1,748 yards and 18 touchdowns (versus 6 int’s). Listed at 6’6” and around 225 pounds Roskopf has ideal size for the next level and has enough mobility that he can move the chains when needed. Husky fans should be extremely excited for Roskopf to head to Montlake.
We didn’t discuss this last weekend, but the Huskies just missed out on Roskopf’s 2028 teammate, 4 star edge Jalanie George. The Huskies were leading for a long time for George and it looked like a commitment was imminent, however a recent visit to Wisconsin and large NIL offer from them ended up swaying him to Madison and the Huskies remain without a 2028 commit. I wouldn’t worry about not having a commit yet in the 2028 class as it’s still early, but the Huskies need to start winning more battles for players like George if they want to continue to move up to the upper echelons of the B1G. We should start to see some additions at the end of the year for the Huskies for their 2028 class.
That is all for today and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
