The Oklahoma Sooners received some great news on Monday morning, earning a commitment from 2028 four-star defensive lineman Logan Lokey. Lokey chose the Sooners over offers from Texas Tech, SMU, and Texas A&M.

A national prospect, Lokey had offers from 23 Power Four schools in the ACC, Big 12, SEC, and Big Ten. According to Rivals and ESPN, he's a four-star prospect and a top-25 player in the country. Lokey ranks among the top 30 defensive linemen in the 2028 recruiting class.

Out of Guyer High School in Denton, Texas, Lokey is a powerful player at the point of attack. He creates a lot of knockback against the run and shows off a strong bull rush. He's strong setting the edge in the running game and does a great job tracking down the line of scrimmage when the ball is going away from him. He's fantastic in two-gap responsibilities and displays enough quickness to penetrate in one-gap schemes. One of his best traits is his effort.

Lokey is currently the second-highest rated prospect committed to the Oklahoma Sooners and the fifth player pledged to the class. He joins linebacker Jay Schell as the second defensive player committed to Brent Venables and the Sooners for 2028.
