The past week of college football was one of the craziest we've ever seen in the sport. In total, seven of the top ten teams in the US LBM Coaches Poll lost, meaning there are wholesale changes with the one that was just dropped.

Thankfully, for Ohio State fans, the Buckeyes were not one of the teams in the top ten that went down. The Buckeyes held on for a 19-15 win against a top-five Indiana squad on the road, so the Buckeyes are one of the teams that took advantage of the chaos around them to rise in the latest poll, all the way to No. 2, a three-spot improvement over last week.

The only team ahead of the Scarlet and Gray was Miami, who also had some struggles, but were able to pull things out in overtime at home against an unranked Florida State squad. According to voters, that was enough to elevate the Hurricanes to No. 1. Rounding out the top ten behind both of those teams was BYU (3), Georgia (4), Texas Tech (5), Indiana (6), Ole Miss (7), Notre Dame (8), Utah (9), and UCLA (10).

Other Big Ten teams ranked in addition to the Buckeyes, Hoosiers, and Bruins were Iowa (14), USC (15), Northwestern (23), and Oregon (25).
