Minnesota struck in the third and fourth minutes, added two second-half goals and finished its season opener with a 4-0 victory over North Dakota. The Gophers held a 31-7 advantage in shots and put 16 attempts on goal.
Krohn supplied two goals, while Kate Childers and Davy Mokelke scored once apiece. Sarah Martin made four saves for the shutout as Minnesota turned its attention to a home match against No. 19 Georgia.
