The Tennessee basketball exhibition game against Xavier on Oct. 15 at Food City Center will tip-off at 7 p.m. and broadcast on SEC Network+, the program announced on Oct. 5.

This will be the first of two exhibition games the Vols will play this fall. After hosting the Musketeers in Knoxville, they'll travel to Durham, North Carolina, to play Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Oct. 20. Tip-off time and television designation for that game will be announced at a later date.

Tickets to the Xavier game are available through Ticketmaster.

The Vols are 12-5 all-time against Xavier and 7-1 at home, but these two programs haven't met since the 2013-14 season. The Vols opened that campaign with a 67-64 loss to the Musketeers on the road, but avenged the defeat less than three weeks later with a 15-point win in the second round of the 2013 Battle 4 Atlantis.

Xavier went 15-18 and finished 10th in the Big East last season, its first year under coach Richard Pitino, the son of St. John's coach Rick Pitino. He remade the roster with seven transfers and three high school signees this offseason.

The Vols brought in a talented transfer class that ranked as the third best nationally, according to 247Sports. The 13 new players will aim to gel together in preseason practices before the regular season begins on Nov. 3, when Wofford visits Food City Center.
