The Texas A&M Aggies have landed one of their top targets in the 2028 recruiting class, securing a commitment from four-star quarterback Donald Tabron II, according to On3's Hayes Fawcett.Tabron committed to the Aggies on Saturday, picking them over the LSU Tigers and Oregon Ducks. The Detroit, Michigan native received a scholarship offer from Texas A&M on Oct. 5, the day after he unofficially visited College Station. He returned on June 7 for a camp before making his early commitment.He is ranked as the No. 28 overall player and No. 3 quarterback in the Rivals industry ranking. He is also the No. 2 player from Michigan.Tabron had an excellent sophomore season at Cass Technical, leading them to a 13-1 record. The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder threw for 2,819 yards and 35 touchdowns. In just 24 games, he has thrown for 4,475 yards and 52 touchdowns.He is Texas A&M's second commitment in the 2028 cycle, joining four-star edge Chance Archangel. With Tabron in the fold, the coaching staff now has a quarterback they can build the class around.
