Former Texas A&M Aggies wide receiver and current Oregon Ducks wideout Evan Stewart was booked on a DUII charge by the Springfield Police Department on Sunday morning, according to several reports. The incident occurred after the Ducks beat the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday.
Hallie DeVore of KATU News was the first to report the story on Monday morning. According to DeVore, he was booked into Springfield Municipal Jail at 7 a.m. on a DUII (driving under the influence of intoxicants) charge before he was released at 8 a.m. to Dakorien Moore, another wide receiver at Oregon.
Stewart signed with Texas A&M as a five-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class and spent two seasons with the Aggies before transferring to Oregon ahead of the 2024 season. He played in 18 games and made 15 starts during his time in College Station, catching 75 passes for 965 yards and nine touchdowns. He caught 53 passes for 649 yards and two touchdowns as a freshman, making the SEC All-Freshman Team and being named a freshman All-American by ESPN, FWAA, and The Athletic.
He is in his third season with the Ducks, missing all of 2025 due to injury. He did not play against Nebraska due to an injury, but has been their No. 1 receiver this season, leading them with 27 catches for 352 yards and four touchdowns. He has played in 18 games at Oregon, recording 91 receptions for 1,163 yards and six touchdowns.
