Verdigris kept its perfect season intact, Inola earned a statement victory and Catoosa found a way to win despite a night filled with mistakes.
Those were the highlights of Friday's Rogers County football action, which also saw Oologah, Chelsea and Foyil suffer lopsided losses.
VERDIGRIS 63, LOCUST GROVE 15 — The Cardinals remained unbeaten behind a balanced offense and another dominant performance from their starting defense.
Jensen Underwood completed 10 of 15 passes for 186 yards and 4 touchdowns, leading Verdigris [6-0, 3-0 District 3A-3] past winless Locust Grove.
Brett Schauffler caught 4 passes for 65 yards and 2 touchdowns. Braxton Dean added 3 receptions for 65 yards and a score, while Kolby Ford had 2 catches for 44 yards and a touchdown.
Ethan Haire rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on 5 carries, Ayden Collins added 69 yards and a score and Ford contributed 27 yards and a touchdown. Charter Zeimet also scored on the ground.
Haire completed 2 of 3 passes in relief and made all 8 extra-point attempts.
"Very balanced game on offense. Jensen did a good job of spreading the ball around," Verdigris coach Justin Morsey said. "Ethan Haire can really make plays with his legs."
The Cardinals' starting defense recorded another shutout, and Jayton Roach returned an interception for a touchdown to open the second half.
Verdigris travels to Bristow [2-4, 2-1], which lost 51-23 to Heritage Hall. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Thursday.
INOLA 20, STIGLER 7 — Jayce Kent rushed for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns, and the Longhorns intercepted 3 passes in a crucial District 3A-3 victory.
Stigler struck first on a 23-yard touchdown pass from Brylar Honeycutt to Logan Plant, but Kent answered with scoring runs of 3 and 27 yards to give Inola a 12-7 halftime lead.
The Longhorns' defense preserved that advantage until the fourth quarter, when Dior Seji recorded a safety and added a 2-yard touchdown run.
Kent, Cooper Thompson and Reece St. Clair each intercepted a pass.
The Panthers [1-5, 0-3] came into the game averaging 25.8 points per game.
"Great game plan by our DC Jon Yates, and great execution by our kids," Inola coach Jim Bob Ashley said. "Defense did a great job keeping the QB in the pocket and getting a push in the middle to make him uncomfortable. Our secondary was extremely sticky; we got some pressure on him, forced him to make some tight throws and we were fortunate enough to get our hands on a few balls."
Inola [3-3, 2-1] outgained Stigler 255-202, including 208 rushing yards. Seji added 31 yards on 14 carries.
Gavin Campbell completed 6 of 9 passes for 47 yards and an interception, while Owen Ellis caught 3 passes for 40 yards.
The Longhorns now visit Muldrow [0-6, 0-3], which has scored only 25 points this season while allowing 44.5 per game. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Thursday.
CATOOSA 30, JAY 27 — An ugly victory was still a welcome one for the Indians.

Harrison rushed for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns on 15 carries, caught 8 passes for 131 yards and another score and intercepted a pass.
Devin Johnson completed 13 of 21 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 39 yards and a score. Kaysin Morgan added 34 rushing yards and a 37-yard reception.
"It was an ugly game. Turnovers, penalties, and poor field position made it tougher than it needed to be, but we found a way to win," Catoosa coach Sal Guerrero said.
The Indians [2-4, 1-2] opened with a 77-yard touchdown pass from Johnson to Harrison, then intercepted Jay's first offensive play and quickly built a 13-0 lead.
But a poor punt and a fumble helped Jay tie the game at 13 by halftime.
Catoosa led 23-13 entering the fourth quarter before holding off the Bulldogs [1-5, 0-3].
"I never doubted we would win," Guerrero said. "Even through all the adversity, our kids never folded or quit playing."
The Indians now host Metro Christian [5-1, 3-0], which defeated Daniel Webster 41-6. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Thursday.

WELEETKA 50, FOYIL 18 — A 42-point first half propelled Weleetka past Foyil in the District B-I-3 opener for both teams.
The Outlaws [4-2, 1-0] scored 26 points in the opening quarter and 16 in the second, building a 42-6 halftime lead.
Foyil [3-3, 0-1] scored a touchdown in each of the final three quarters and outscored Weleetka 12-8 after halftime, but the early deficit proved insurmountable.

Foyil now hosts Garber at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Wolverines are 0-6 and are coming off a 58-8 loss to Dewar.
WYANDOTTE 47, CHELSEA 0 — Gunner Jackson threw 5 touchdown passes as Wyandotte celebrated homecoming with a shutout victory in District 2A-II-3 action.
Jackson connected with Manny Thomas for a 43-yard touchdown on fourth-and-13 in the opening quarter, then found Haden Austin for another score to build a 14-0 lead.
Tyler Martin added a 16-yard touchdown run, and Jackson threw another scoring pass to Austin for a 27-0 halftime advantage.
The Bears [5-1, 3-0] continued pulling away after halftime, with Martin's 63-yard run setting up another touchdown pass from Jackson to Thomas. Wyandotte then executed a hook-and-lateral, with Jackson throwing to Thomas, who pitched to Austin for a 70-yard touchdown.
Backup quarterback Jazz Sapp capped the scoring with a 24-yard touchdown pass to Jaren Stewart.
Chelsea's run-heavy offense struggled throughout, managing only 5 first downs in the opening half, 3 courtesy of Wyandotte penalties.
