With the Florida State football team suffering a heartbreaking loss to the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday night in double overtime, 43-35, the program also dealt with a key injury that is sure to impact its offense. As Florida State football running back Ousmane Kromah suffered an injury during the loss, the latest update reveals the time he’ll miss for the Seminoles.
According to college football insider Matt Zenitz at CBS Sports, Kromah is “set to miss the rest of the season” for the Seminoles with the “foot/ankle injury” sustained during the game.
“Florida State star running back Ousmane Kromah is set to miss the rest of the season due to a foot/ankle injury he suffered against Miami last night, sources tell [CBS Sports],” Zenitz wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Brutal blow for FSU and Kromah, who was ranked third in the ACC with 609 rushing yards.”

It was a concerning sight as Kromah would be carted off the field after a nine-yard run near the goal line towards the end of the second quarter. His night would end after recording 14 carries for 44 yards, as there wasn’t an initial diagnosis from head coach Mike Norvell.
“I don’t know the final deal with the foot injury,” Norvell said, via 247 Sports. “But even with that, I’m amazed he’s hopping to get across.”
“He’s such a competitor. And he’s tough,” Norvell continued.
More on the injury to Florida State football’s Ousmane Kromah
Kromah is clearly the leading rusher for the Florida State football team, having recorded 609 yards on 5.3 yards per carry, with the next leading rusher being quarterback Ashton Daniels with 354. The sophomore running back would get praise from Daniels, saying that Kromah is “one of the alpha dogs” on the Seminoles.
“He’s somebody that is gonna come out, and he’s gonna give it his all every single play,” Daniels said.
With Kromah likely to miss the rest of the season, the next running back to get more opportunity is Quintrevion Wisner, who had nine carries for 63 yards in the loss to Miami. The Seminoles will look to keep the ship afloat against Clemson on Oct. 31.
