We have reached the point in the 2026 college football season where the first College Football Playoff rankings have been released.

The stretch run will be fantastic, especially as some of these teams play one another before the final CFP rankings come out.

Miami leads the pack, followed by Georgia, Utah, Indiana, and Alabama. Kentucky and Texas occupy the No. 6 and No. 7 spots, followed by UCLA, BYU, and Ole Miss, rounding out the top 10.

If the CFP began today, Miami, Georgia, Utah, and Indiana would have first-round byes. Alabama would play Boise State in the 5-12 game, while Kentucky would play Notre Dame in the 6-11 game. Finally, Texas would play Ole Miss in the 7-10 game, and UCLA would play BYU in the 8-9 game.
