ESPN announces Week 5 location for ‘College GameDay’

ESPN’s College GameDay has officially announced its destination for Week 5 of the 2026 college football season.

After traveling to Knoxville for Saturday’s Texas-Tennessee game, the weekly college football pregame show will be in Iowa City for next Saturday’s showdown between Iowa and Ohio State. It will be College GameDay‘s first appearance in Iowa City in 20 years.

The game promises to be a great one, especially after Iowa’s last-play victory over Michigan on Saturday. As time expired, Hawkeyes quarterback Hank Brown found Reece Vander Zee in the end zone to steal a win in “The Big House.”

Iowa is now 4-0 and will be moving up in the latest AP poll.

Don’t forget about Ohio State

Like Iowa, Ohio State will be full of confidence heading into this game after smashing Illinois 42-19 on Saturday. Wide receiver Jeremiah Smith had another ridiculous game, finishing with 12 receptions for 217 yards and four touchdowns.

Smith is the Buckeyes’ all-time leader in receiving yards and just became the first OSU wideout to record 3,000 career yards.

Quarterback Julian Sayin also had a great outing, finishing the Illinois game with 367 yards through the air, four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Kickoff for next Saturday’s contest will be at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
