The Longhorns are at a crossroads. That's the message from ESPN College GameDay host Rece Davis. The longtime ESPN host thinks Arch Manning and the Longhorns roster is too talented to be struggling as bad as they are on offense.

"I think this is a real crossroads type moment for Texas as a team and for Arch (Manning) as a quarterback," Davis said on the PatMcAfee Show.

Davis says the problems don't start and end with Manning, but he's not playing well.

"Arch is super talented, but it just doesn't look right right now," Davis said. "It's never one person's fault. Everybody has to share responsibility, but you look at all of the weapons they don't do a great job on the offensive line. When you go back and look at the tape later, you see some easier access, quicker release-type throws that he maybe passed on that create some of the problems. And they don't run as effectively."

The Alabama grad thinks something has to change for Texas to have success the rest of the season. Whether it's replacing Manning or something else.

"Something has to change for Texas," he said. "Now, does that have to be the quarterback, per se? I don't know. But they're too talented, they've got too much invested ... to perform offensively the way they've performed up to this point."

Texas hosts the Ole Miss Rebels Saturday night at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium at 6:30 p.m. CT.
