With the struggles of Texas football quarterback Arch Manning at the forefront of the sports world, one analyst offers an interesting perspective, as many people think that the star will head to the NFL after this season. As Manning looks to prove himself in Texas football’s game against Ole Miss on Saturday, Dan Orlovsky reveals what the quarterback should do for his future.
Reposting a segment he did on ESPN’s “First Take,” Orlovsky believes that Manning shouldn’t go to the NFL and should transfer elsehwere from the Longhorns. Orlovsky lists LSU, Miami, Indiana, Ohio State, and Kentucky as the five schools that Manning should transfer to, as he believes the Longhorns offense has “regressed” him.
“I hate Texas’s offense; I can’t stand watching it. They don’t allow Arch to play quarterback; they ask him to play thrower. Throw ball here. Throw ball there. That’s it. There’s very little tools given to the quarterback; they run the same plays all the time,” Orlovsky said.

“So it’s an offense right now that has absolutely regressed the player…I think this relationship is certainly done,” Orlovsky continued. “I do not believe Arch should go to the NFL. I believe Arch should leave Texas and go to a place that adamantly can develop him as a quarterback that gives you the ability to play quarterback.”

Dan Orlovsky on what he thinks about when watching Texas football
So far with the Texas football team, Manning has thrown for 1,295 yards with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions, as Orlovsky reveals the two outcomes that pop into his mind when watching the senior quarterback.
“Now I’m adding an asterisk to this, and I want to be honest and use the words properly,” Orlovsky said. “When I watch Arch play, one of two things pop into my mind. It’s either Sark doesn’t want him to play a certain way, or he is not smart enough to play a certain way. And I can’t answer either of them because I’m not in the building.”
At any rate, Manning looks to bounce back on Saturday night for the Longhorns against No. 7 Ole Miss.
