ESPN's "College GameDay" announced it will be staying in Big 12 country for back-to-back weeks. GameDay is set to attend the Houston Cougars at Utah Utes game on Saturday, Oct. 24 as GameDay stays in Utah for back-to-back weeks. Last week, GameDay attended the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at BYU Cougars game, which game down to the final play.
Last week was one of the most chaotic weeks in college football history with five of the nation's top eight teams, including the previous No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs suffering losses.
The Houston-Utah game will play a big role in the Big 12 title race. Utah (6-0, 3-0 Big 12) and Houston (6-1, 3-1 Big 12) are among the top four teams in the Big 12 along with Texas Tech and BYU. The Big 12 could take multiple College Football Playoff spots this season.
GameDay picked the Houston at Utah game over other strong Week 8 games including Indiana at Michigan, Ole Miss at Texas, Texas A&M at Alabama, USC at Wisconsin and more. Week 8 does not have the best schedule, but we're still set up for an entertaining final few weeks of the regular season.
GameDay has now attended more Big 12 campuses (two) this season than Big Ten (one) and ACC (none) campuses combined this season. GameDay has attended five SEC campuses this fall.
