Week 8 of the 2026 college football season features 52 games from Thursday, Oct. 22, through Saturday, Oct. 24. Athlon Sports is back with predictions and picks for every contest.

The eighth full weekend of the ’26 season started with Middle Tennessee (FIU), Delaware (Missouri State) and Marshall (South Alabama) picking up victories on Tuesday night. And on Wednesday, midweek CUSA action continued with New Mexico State defeating Sam Houston.

The action continues with three games on Thursday night, including James Madison-Appalachian State and East Carolina-Memphis. Five more games are on tap for Friday. Headlining the slate is Duke-Virginia and NC State-Stanford, but UMass-UConn, Army-Tulsa and Air Force-Wyoming also have plenty of intrigue.

A full slate of action on Saturday kicks off with Pitt-Miami, Indiana-Michigan, Texas Tech-Cincinnati, LSU-Auburn, West Virginia-TCU and California-SMU in the first window. The afternoon slate features Oregon-Illinois, Tennessee-South Carolina, Texas A&M-Alabama, Iowa-Minnesota, Oklahoma-Mississippi State and Kansas State-Arizona State.

The first night window includes Colorado-Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech-Clemson, Ole Miss-Texas, Vanderbilt-Kentucky, USC-Wisconsin, Iowa State-Arizona and Syracuse-North Carolina. The late-night window is headlined by North Dakota State-New Mexico and Houston-Utah.

Athlon Sports’ Steven Lassan, Tyler Schuster and Kyle Wood make predictions for all 52 games in Week 8.
