So the Coaches Poll went Coaches Poll, threw out all critical thinking, and went chalk – team wins and moves up, team loses and moves down. But it all sets up for a whopper of an upcoming weekend.
Miami stayed No. 1, and with Notre Dame staying at No. 6, it will be the showdown of the season in South Bend. Georgia moved up one spot to No. 2, Ole Miss stayed at No. 12, and that’s going to be a whopper. With USC’s win over Ohio State, the new No. 17’s date with No. 3 Indiana will be even bigger.   • Texas and Ohio State are both 6-2, Texas beat Ohio State, and … Ohio State is 10, Texas 11. There weren’t any other major moves, but Northwestern (23), SMU (24), and Arizona (22) stayed in the top 25.
