Tennessee concluded its 1989 football season in the Cotton Bowl. The Vols defeated Arkansas, 31-27, on Jan. 1, 1990 in Dallas, Texas.
Running back Chuck Webb totaled 250 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 25 attempts for Tennessee. His longest rushing attempt was 78 yards against the Razorbacks.
250 rushing yards is the most by a Tennessee player all time in the Arkansas series. The Tennessee-Arkansas football series has been contested 21 times, dating to Nov. 18, 1907. The Vols lead the series, 14-7.
The two schools will renew their series Saturday at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas (4:15 p.m. EDT, SEC Network).
No. 14 Tennessee (4-1, 1-1 SEC) running back DeSean Bishop enters Saturday's Week 6 matchup after a 220-yard rushing performance against Auburn. In five contests this season, the 5-foot-10, 215-pound senior has totaled 540 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 88 attempts.
Arkansas (2-3, 0-2 SEC) allowed 231 rushing yards to Texas A&M and 254 rushing yards against Georgia in SEC games this season.
