After a 17-10 road win over TCU, BYU moved up 2 spots from 10 to 8 in the AP Poll released Sunday. BYU is one of five Big 12 teams ranked along with Texas Tech (11), Utah (12), Oklahoma State (18), and Houston (22). Notre Dame is ranked #3. BYU passed Florida (loss to Missouri) and Ole Miss (idle) to move up in the rankings.

BYU next faces 3-2 Iowa State Friday, who is coming off a 45-42 home win over West Virginia Saturday where both teams rolled up over 500 yards of offense. Cyclones running back Aiden Flora rushed for 212 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns; he also threw 2 touchdown through the air. Iowa State’s two losses this season are to Iowa and Utah, both top 25 teams. If BYU can beat Iowa State Friday night, that would set up a top 10 matchup versus Notre Dame October 17 in Provo.
