The BYU Cougars moved up to No. 7 in the latest AP Top 25 College Football Poll on Sunday. Kalani Sitake's team moved up one spot after a 27-20 win over Arizona State.

Bear Bachmeier threw for 236 yards and a touchdown. The dual-threat quarterback flipped the script and took over with his arm. The Cougars held the Sun Devils to three points in the fourth quarter, which was the difference in the game. Arizona State's offense went one-dimensional in the second half and ran out of gas late. However, BYU let ASU hang around late with a one-score final.

With the Cougars now 7-1 on the season, they'll be looking to take a step forward in the final month of the season. They're now tasked with trying to end the nation’s longest active FBS winning streak.

No. 3 Utah has won 14 straight games behind Devon Dampier and the high-flying offensive attack. Utah breaks moves inside the top four for the first time this year. This is a perfect opportunity for BYU to knock off the Utes in the biggest 'Holy War' in recent memory.

As for the rest of the nation, Miami remains the top-ranked team after a 38-35 win over North Carolina. No. 2 Ohio State suffered a 30-18 loss to USC, which sent the Buckeyes plummeting down the rankings. The second loss for Ryan Day's team puts them in jeopardy of missing the Playoff.

Georgia moved up one spot to No. 2 after a 27-8 victory over No. 17 Florida. The Bulldogs are the highest-ranked one-loss team with both Utah and UCLA unbeaten and behind them. Kirby Smart and his staff are ramping up for a Playoff run as the SEC's top team.
