Ashton Beers gives Minnesota an experienced center with both production and position flexibility. He was named to the 40-player Rimington Trophy preseason watch list after starting all 13 games at center in 2025.

Pro Football Focus graded Beers at 86.1 in pass protection last season, third among Big Ten centers. Before moving to the middle full time, he started six games at right guard and three at left guard in 2024, experience that adds context to his command of the entire interior line.

Beers also carries an academic record that includes 2024 CSC Academic All-America recognition. On the field, his continuity becomes especially valuable as Minnesota builds toward a three-game home opening stretch beginning September 3 against Eastern Illinois.
