Welcome to another edition of Around the SEC, where everything is made up and the points don’t matter. That’s right, the points are like a fourth quarter Tennessee lead against South Carolina.

Crimson Tide Star Dismissed

Alabama defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. was dismissed from the team for messaging and doxxing a police officer involved in a legal incident involving Kirkpatrick in 2025. He has appeared in every Crimson Tide game this season prior to last weekend’s win against Texas A&M.

Missouri Star Back?

Missouri running back Ahmad Hardy has returned to practice after being out for all of the season thus far. Hardy was Missouri’s star in 2025, and while the Tigers’ run game has been productive in 2026, his return will no doubt be a boost for the team.

Kewan Lacy Out

Ole Miss star running back Kewan Lacy has been ruled out for this weekend’s game against Auburn. The real question for Dawg fans is whether he will be ready for the big showdown next weekend against Georgia.

Kamario Taylor Out for Season

Bad news gets even worse in the Magnolia State as Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor, a one time Heisman favorite, has been ruled out for the season with a toe injury. Taylor was electric in 2026, and I am sure he will be a Heisman frontrunner when he returns in 2027.
