Arizona freshman wide receiver RJ Mosley was carted off the field Saturday after suffering an apparent left-knee injury during No. 22 Arizona’s Big 12 matchup vs. No. 13 Texas Tech.

Mosley went down late in the third quarter after catching an 8-yard pass from quarterback Noah Fifita on third-and-18. He remained on the turf while Arizona’s medical staff attended to him and teammates gathered nearby.

ESPN College Football documented the scene on X, formerly Twitter, as the Wildcats surrounded Mosley before he left the field.

ESPN’s broadcast did not show a replay of the injury. Play-by-play announcer Dave Pasch told viewers the network would not replay the sequence.

Arizona had not announced an official diagnosis immediately after Mosley was carted off, leaving the extent of the injury unclear. His absence could also force younger receivers into larger roles if he misses additional time during the Wildcats’ conference schedule.

The 6-foot-3, 197-pound receiver joined the Wildcats as the highest-rated member of its 2026 recruiting class. A four-star prospect from Pittsburg High School in California, Mosley received offers from programs including Georgia, Stanford, UCLA and Utah.

He recorded 82 receptions for 1,302 yards and 14 touchdowns during his senior high school season.

Mosley had six receptions for 99 yards in limited college action before Saturday. His injury came during a tightly contested game between two 6-1 teams carrying 3-1 Big 12 records.

Arizona entered the matchup already dealing with several injuries, making Mosley’s status another concern as the Wildcats continue conference play. Texas Tech leads the Wildcats 34-23 with 1:58 remaining in the fourth quarter.
