Anyone who's been around HawkeyeRoundtable during this football season knows that Thursday is our warmup to prediction Friday.
You've already read our three reasons why Iowa will defeat Washington and three reasons it won't, so now it's time to share my thoughts on some of the top games of Week 6.
It's safe to say that we've got a fantastic slate of games this weekend, so let's break them down.
*All game times Central
Friday
Florida State (3-2, 1-1) @ Louisville (2-3, 1-2)
Location: L&N Federal Credit Stadium in Louisville, KY
Time/TV: 6 p.m. on ESPN
Some of you are probably going to need anything and everything you can get to stay awake throughout the entire Iowa game, and this contest is probably a good appetizer for you. Can FSU head coach Mike Norvell keep his job?
Saturday
No. 6 Indiana (5-0, 2-0) @ Nebraska (5-0, 2-0)
Location: Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, NE
Time/TV: 11 a.m. on FOX
If Nebraska wants to start making its return to national relevance, this is a game it absolutely needs to get. Indiana hasn't played anyone with a pulse this year, so maybe Matt Rhule and Co. can take advantage at home. The Huskers have lost 30 straight games against ranked teams.
No. 21 UCLA (4-0, 1-0) @ No. 13 Oregon (3-1, 1-0)
Location: Autzen Stadium in Eugene, OR
Time/TV: 2:30 p.m. on CBS
Talk about a compelling matchup here. UCLA has looked very, very good under Bob Chesney so far, but this will definitely be the Bruins' first big test under their new coach. If UCLA can escape Autzen with a win, the Big Ten will be on notice.
No. 1 Texas (4-0, 1-0) @ Oklahoma (2-2, 0-1)
Location: Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX
Time/TV: 2:30 p.m. on ABC
I've never been very high on Texas being the top-ranked team in the nation. Arch Manning is extremely talented, but I feel like he's a little overrated because of his last name. The Longhorns are going to slip up at some point, and they just might be walking into a trap door against a desperate Oklahoma team.
No. 19 USC (5-1, 2-1) @ Penn State (3-2, 0-2)
Location: Beaver Stadium in State College, PA
Time/TV: 6:30 p.m. on NBC
Matt Campbell's Penn State debut has been a disaster so far, but he'll have a chance to right the ship in front of a White Out crowd at Beaver Stadium. USC's defense continues to be awful under Lincoln Riley (whose seat could be very hot if he loses this one), so maybe that will spark Rocco Becht and a struggling Nittany Lions offense.
No. 2 Georgia (5-0, 3-0) @ No. 6 Alabama (5-0, 3-0)
Location: Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, AL
Time/TV: 6:30 p.m. on ABC
This game has the potential to be an instant classic - if it even gets played. A hurricane is about to head right for Alabama, and though the storms are expected to die down on Friday evening, things could get very problematic if Mother Nature continues into Saturday. It would be absolutely wild if they had to postpone or outright cancel this SEC showdown.
