Almost nothing seems to be going in Alabama football’s favor lately. After dropping to a 5-2 record, the Crimson Tide had already ruled out their star wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams for their upcoming matchup against Texas A&M. Now, three more players have been downgraded to doubtful.
Pete Nakos of On3 reported that offensive lineman Racin Delgatty, defensive back Zabien Brown, and running back EJ Crowell have all been downgraded to doubtful.
“Alabama starting OL Racin Delgatty, DB Zabien Brown and RB EJ Crowell have all been downgraded to doubtful for tomorrow against Texas A&M,” Nakos wrote.

The latest report is concerning for Alabama as the team looks to bounce back from its frustrating loss to Tennessee, which marked its second consecutive losses. Before suffering those back-to-back losses, the Crimson Tide had enjoyed an unbeaten 5-0 start to the season.
Meanwhile, the potential absences of Delgatty, Brown, and Crowell could affect multiple areas of Alabama’s lineup. Delgatty’s status is particularly important because of his role on the offensive line. The lineman has started all six games he has played for Alabama this season.
Meanwhile, Brown’s potential absence could also leave the Crimson Tide with another position to address in the defensive backfield. The defensive back has been an important contributor to Alabama’s secondary during the 2026 season. Through seven games, Brown has recorded 19 tackles, four pass breakups, and one fumble recovery.
Crowell has rushed for 216 yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries across seven games for Alabama this season. If the freshman is unable to suit up, the Crimson Tide may have to rely more heavily on their other available options in the backfield.
However, being listed as doubtful does not officially rule a player out. Alabama’s final availability decisions will determine whether Delgatty, Brown, or Crowell can take the field against Texas A&M.
