Part of a massive Week 10 college football slate, Alabama's game Saturday afternoon at LSU is loaded with potential storylines.
A pair of long-time SEC foes, Alabama-LSU has consistently been among college football's best annual games more times than not for well over a decade, with this latest matchup shaping up to be just as good as prior meetings. Both teams are ranked within the top 15 nationally entering Week 10, with each needing a huge win to boost their College Football Playoff (CFP) resumes.
In addition to that, there is also the storyline of Kalen DeBoer vs. Lane Kiffin for the first time as Alabama and LSU's head coaches, respectively, as well as the fact that the Crimson Tide are looking to make it four-straight wins in the series since 2023.
Here is a look at three additional storylines to follow leading up to kickoff between Alabama and LSU on Saturday in Baton Rouge.
Can Alabama's offense bounce back on road?

The last time we saw Alabama in action away from Tuscaloosa, it was a rough offensive showing at Tennessee which featured only 201 total yards, four turnovers, five sacks, and converting 2-of-13 third downs. LSU's Tiger Stadium is likely to present similar challenges as Neyland, as will the Tigers' defense, which ranks among the best in the SEC in almost every statistic across the board, as well as the nation's second-best in sacks.
Will Kalen DeBoer remain undefeated or will Lane Kiffin get first win?

Kalen DeBoer enters Saturday's matchup in Baton Rouge sitting at a perfect 2-0 against LSU as head coach of the Crimson Tide following a 42-13 road win back in 2024, as well as 20-9 at home a year ago. On the flip side, Lane Kiffin has yet to defeat the Crimson Tide in five career games as a head coach (0-1 at Tennessee, 0-4 at Ole Miss). Will DeBoer make it three-straight, or will the former Alabama offensive coordinator finally defeat the Tide?
Can Alabama's defense force Sam Leavitt to make mistakes?

As talented a player as LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt is, there is however one key area where the Tiger signal caller has struggled this season, and that is with turning the ball over. Leavitt is currently leading the SEC with eight picks thrown this season, and will be facing an Alabama defense that is tied for the SEC lead with 12 interceptions as a team.
